What Is The Candida Diet?

The Candida Diet is a diet designed to eliminate Candida and Yeast from the body in order to allow the natural balance within the body to regain control.

Since Candida feeds on sugars and carbohydrates, the Candida Diet focuses on eliminating breads, pasta's, and sugars from your diet. Surprisingly, the Candida Diet also works to eliminate certain health supplements such as B complex vitamin pills.

The Candida Diet works because it starves the yeast to death in the body and allows the probiotics and microorgansims in the body to regain control and rebalance. The biggest draw back is that this yeast grows roots in the blood vessels in our intestines and is able to tap directly into our blood vessels for nourishment. Despite following the Candida Diet, this yeast is able to get enough sugar to keep it's roots alive for some time.

This means that the Candida Diet needs to be followed extensively for a long enough period of time in order to get rid of these roots and rid the body of the overgrowth.

The Candida Diet itself is pretty simple. The Candida Diet emphasizes proteins such as meats, fish, eggs, and poultry as well as vegetables of all kinds except for starchy root vegetables such as beets, carrots, and potatoes. These high starches are turned into sugar in the body and ruin any success with the Candida Diet.

Gluten free grains can be used which exclude wheat, barley and rye. Some are allergic to the protein in oats which may be “gluten like”.

On the other hand, some are not allergic to the gluten protein in rye. Of the all the gluten proteins we can say that rye is the best tolerated. This allows for the possibility of using “yeast free” rye bread on the Candida Diet.

So Where Did We Go Wrong?

In the 19th and 20th centuries, many advancements in the medical field as well as technology helped to bring about overgrowths of yeast and Candida in the body. This started with the use of steroids and antibiotics in medicine which kills off the natural microorgansims in the body that keep the yeast in our body in check.

On top of this, advancements in the processing of foods allowed companies to produce foods with more sugar, starches, carbohydrates, and yeast in them and distribute them in mass to the public. In the mid 1900's white flour and sugar became much more prevalent to the masses which helps to feed the fungus in our body and destroyed the natural Candida Diet that was normal for most people at the time.

On top of this, processed foods also became much more prevalent in society. These foods use chemicals and perservatives which also ruin the natural organisms in the body. The Candida Diet works to rebalance these organisms with the natural foods that humans have been eating or thousands of years, long before modern medicines and modern food production.

So what is the result of these developments in our society? Medicines that fix one disease and cause another. Foods that make people fatter, diabetic, or riddled with heart disease and need more of those drugs that make us even more sick in the end in order to survive. Sadly, these foods and medicines are a natural part of normal life, and many of us are addicted to these foods and medicines. Often times we feel deprived without our breads, viagra, pain medicine, sugar laden drinks and foods, and crave all of them when we are without.
